Overnight trekking in Bhutan

my tour: kinley-our guide, peter- an RE teacher from manchester

We started our overnight hike a quick 20min drive into the mountains above Paro.  I had no idea of the end destination but there was certainly a lot of up hill! It was really beautiful in the mountains, we didn’t see any other people apart from our trekking team – some horses and a couple of helpers.

Here’s some photos on the way to our camp site

I made it to the camp site, after 5hrs of hiking. As far as camping goes, it was pretty luxurious. Amazing views, well worth the up-hill climb.

About 1hr after we arrived, it started pouring with rain, then we had about 15min of hail stones. We were so lucky it didn’t rain while we were hiking.

The next day, hiking down only took 3 hours. Not bad for a lazy ass 😀
