Bolivia, the next stop on my South American adventure. I met a Dutch couple in Peru who told me that Bolivian people weren’t friendly. They said they saw a horse head with the cheek exposed in the meat markets, when they stopped to take a photo the Bolivian lady who was manning the stall threw a piece of meat at them. Ha ha ha 😄
I have to say that so far, Bolivians have been pretty friendly. La Paz is where the government is situated but Sucre, a UNESCO city, is the official capital. La Paz has an excellent cable car public transport system. You get a great view of the city for 3 bolivars (60cents). Sucre is a really easy place to be – everything is close and is lovely.

The real reason people come to Bolivia is for Death road – called that because it is considered one of the most dangerous roads in the world. I rode a bike down it – I was so nervous at the start I put my helmet on backwards 🙃
The Bolivians (like most people of the Andes) believe in Pachamama or Mother Earth. She apparently gives and she takes. To please Pachamama before a ride we had some horrendous alcohol (apparently she likes it) Some for Pachamama, some for the bike and some for you. It was like metho but worth it because it kept Pachamama happy, and I didn’t fall 😊

you are living the go-pro dream … zip-lining … death road mountain biking!
