I took a few days off from being a tourist and just hung out in Lima. The food was excellent so I ate a lot. I had a 15 course degustation and did a cooking class. I only went to one museum – not the one I meant to go to because I missed the bus stop and got VERY lost – but the one I found was interesting enough.

 

 
  
Now I’m back in tourist mode and caught a bus to Nazca to see the crazy Nazca lines.  The people who research this aren’t really sure what they mean, some think it has to do with water sources, others something to do with astronomy and some people think aliens 👾

They are pretty random. I took a Cessna flight to see them from the air. The pilot was called Americo and he let me in his sit (before we took off, obviously!). He was pretty flirty actually – so long as he remembers to fly the plane I suppose it’s ok. The flight had lots of turns – luckily I didn’t feel ill 🙃 It’s actually pretty hard to take a good picture but I tried.
